International Student Life at LA

Groton, Massachusetts, might feel like a long way from home. But, at Lawrence Academy, you'll receive the same support and care you do with your family.

Lawrence Academy’s motto is Omnibus Lucet which means “The light shines for all.” Our mission is to recognize each student for who they are, support and challenge them as they take responsibility for who they want to become, and empower them to take action for the greater good. Here on campus, we value the different cultures, beliefs, and points of view that our international students bring to our hillside. It’s these differences that make LA’s community unique and diverse. We hope to simultaneously open the doors to them while they help open doors to the rest of the world for all our students.

International students are vital members of our community who bring diverse traditions and backgrounds to the table. During their time at LA, International students will be able to connect with students who share their culture and gain knowledge of American culture as well. They will also make strong connections with other international students going through the same experience. LA’s goal is to provide social and academic support to international students and their families to help them succeed in and out of the classroom at Lawrence Academy.
