Day Student Bus Schedule

In an effort to help Day Students from neighboring communities attend Lawrence Academy, the school arranges bus routes with stops convenient for many families.

Below is current information about bus stops for the 2022-2023 school year. Both bus lines arrive on campus at approximately 7:45 a.m. The academic day starts at 8:00 a.m. Return departure from Lawrence Academy in the fall and spring is 6:30 p.m.; during the winter, the return is at 7:00 p.m. Buses leave from behind the dining hall. Students who are not able to catch their evening bus due to an away game, late practice, or other school commitment must arrange for their transportation that evening; bus service is not adjusted to accommodate late practices or games.

Please note: This information may change for the 2023-2024 school year, but this will give you an idea of the bus schedules as they are run currently. Lawrence Academy reserves the right to alter or remove bus routes dependent on demand for these services. Exact costs for this service will be determined by ridership and released by the Dean of Students in the summer prior to the start of the school year.

LEXINGTON, CONCORD, AND ACTON BUS ROUTE (SCHEDULED STOPS)

6:50 AM > Harrington School - Lexington, MA. (328 Lowell Street – Lexington, MA)
7:10 AM > Meriam’s Corner Lexington Road Parking Lot - Concord, MA. (Meriam’s Corner is located at the intersection of Lexington and Bedford Road. There is a parking lot 100 yards to the east of this location, on Lexington Road).
- Note: The Meriam’s Corner parking lot is a tentative location pending final approval from Dee Bus and thetown of Concord. We will update you prior to the first day of service with the final plan.
- Note: PM drop-off location is the Concord Public Library (129 Main Street – Concord, MA)
7:20 AM > Paparazzi Restaurant – Concord, MA. (768 Elm Street – Concord, MA).
7:25 AM > Great Road Church (previously Highrock Covenant Church) – Acton, MA. (257 Great Road – Acton, MA).
- Note: PM drop-off location is the Donelan’s Supermarket directly opposite the AM pick-up (248 Great Road –Acton, MA).

1st DAY: The first day of bus service is Thursday, September 8th.
COST: We are still receiving inquiries for this year’s service. We will finalize and communicate this year’s cost prior to the first day of school. For an approximate estimate, you can reference last year’s cost, listed below.
- Lexington: $3,050 (This amount is for estimation purposes only and represents last year’s cost)
- Concord (all stops) & Acton: $2,425 (This amount is for estimation purposes only and represents last year’s cost)
PAYMENT: Families will be billed for service through their Veracross parent portal. Hint: Look for the “Pay Invoices” tab. The bus fee will be posted after the start of school. All students have permission to ride the bus on the first day of service regardless of the payment status on their bus invoice.
PM SERVICE: In the afternoon, the bus follows the same route, but in reverse. Please note above the afternoon drop-off locations for Meriam’s Corner and Acton.
DEPARTURE TIME: Return departure from Lawrence Academy is 6:30 PM.
THURSDAY SLEEP-INS: The schedule does NOT change on Thursdays. Pick-up remains as noted above.
CAMPUS BUS STOP: The bus drops off and departs from the dining hall.
WEATHER DELAYS: If there is a 1 or 2-hour delay to the start of school due to inclement weather, then the above pick-up times will also be delayed by the same amount of time.
SPECIAL SCHEDULES AND GENERAL INFORMATION: There is a button on the parent Veracross portal (look for “Day Student Bus”) that contains general information plus a list of the special departure times for the year.
PROVIDER: Lawrence Academy contracts with Dee Bus. The vehicle will bear their company name.
REFUNDS AND ADJUSTMENTS:
- If the Lexington/Concord/Acton/Andover bus service is cancelled for specific days or any portion of the term due to a COVID-19 health matter, you will receive a refund equal to approximately 25% of the daily fee for those days that are cancelled. This refund does not apply to holidays or long weekends.
- Lawrence Academy cannot pro-rate the enrollment fee based on the days that your child is or is not attending school.

ANDOVER BUS ROUTE (SCHEDULED STOPS)

7:00 AM > CVS Pharmacy – Andover, MA. (68 Main Street – Andover, MA).
- Note: The bus stops at the Chestnut Street parking lot located directly behind CVS.
7:10 AM > Spark Fitness & Tennis (307 Lowell Street – Andover, MA).

For estimation purposes, please note that the cost for Andover bus service for the 2022/2023 school year was $2,800. Due to low ridership on the Andover line and state limits on bus size (we cannot legally use a 14 passenger van for daily service), this rate is significantly subsidized by Lawrence Academy.
