Admissions Ambassador volunteers assist the LA admissions staff by greeting potential new families, attending Open Houses and receptions, and by making phone calls to welcome new parents. No pressure to do it all – just choose which opportunities fit your schedule when requests are sent out.
The Lawrence Academy Mentorship Program (LAMP) aims to provide a space for connection and support for families who self-identify as historically underrepresented, including BIPOC, Latinx, LGBTQ+, gender nonbinary, and families who represent interracial adoptions. We create space for all students to be heard, seen, and cared for and to be fully recognized both as themselves and members of the LA community.
The Spring Social Committee will support the school through organizing, planning, and executing this parent event in May. Volunteers will help build attendance, promote raffle sales, and assist the Parent Advancement team at the event.
Philanthropic support ensures that LA has the resources it needs to continue providing mission-driven excellence. Parent volunteers, in conjunction with the Advancement Office, work together to meet the Parent Fund goal. Parent energy, commitment, and support are critical to the school’s identity and success.
In February, parents work together to create a way to say “thank you!” to the devoted LA faculty and staff. Parent volunteers are needed to help arrange and facilitate.
Meet and greet parents and distribute programs at our fall and spring art openings, and theater, dance, and musical performances!
Every year, the Parents’ Association co-hosts a holiday party with the Alumni Council for all members of the LA community at East Meets West at The Exchange in Boston's Seaport district.
