Lawrence Academy has an opening for a full-time English teacher beginning in August 2018.

Literature and language are the cornerstones of the curriculum in a collaborative English department. Candidates must have a background in English with strong preference for those who have classroom experience. This full-time position will be responsible for teaching four sections of English and being fully involved in school life as articulated below. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach throughout the 9-12 English curriculum.

Lawrence Academy is a residential and day school in Groton, MA, serving 400 students in grades 9-12.   Faculty members are fully involved in the curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular programs of the school. All members of the faculty participate in our residential program and have regular weeknight and weekend duties.

Lawrence Academy is seeking candidates with a commitment to cultural competence which enables individuals to work and communicate across social and cultural differences. Candidates from traditionally underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
