Lawrence Academy: Diversity Initiative Internship 2018-2019
Lawrence Academy seeks an intern for a full-time one-year appointment. This position is designed for a recent college graduate with an interest in gaining experience at an independent school in teaching, coaching, working with diversity initiatives and working in the residential program. Theteaching intern will work directly with their respective academic department chair and the director of diversity, equity and inclusion.
The intern will coach three seasons, serve as a dorm parent and hold residential responsibilities. The intern will work closely with our diverse student groups and participate in the development of diversity programming.
Candidates must have a strong academic background and some experience working with adolescents is preferred. The position provides professional development opportunities, housing, meals, a stipend, and full benefits. In addition, the intern will be partnered with a mentor and be involved in yearlong professional development program.
