Hello LA Families!
The new LA Bookstore is live, and you can begin creating an account and ordering books for summer reading and assignments. Please note that student schedules for the 2019-2020 will be complete later this month, and you will be notified when that process is complete and when to begin ordering books for classes. To create an account, click the person icon at the top right hand of the screen, and then click create account. If there are questions or problems with access, please contact Mike Culley (email@example.com) or Tanya Clark (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Lawrence Academy FAQs
There are a few key steps to applying to Lawrence Academy. A breakdown of those steps is located here.
The deadline for submitting your application to Lawrence Academy is Jan. 15, 2020. The deadline for completing your campus visit and submitting the financial aid application is Jan. 31, 2020. All of our admissions decisions will be released by March 10, 2020, and your decision to enroll is due by April 10, 2020, following the opportunity to attend a Revisit Day in early April if you are accepted.
Lawrence Academy accepts the Standard Application Online (SAO) and the Gateway to Prep School applications. Both are common applications. We do not have a preference as to which application you complete.
4. If I have additional documents or materials that I would like to send to the admissions team, how should these be sent?
Please email any additional materials directly to email@example.com, and they will be uploaded to your electronic admissions file.
To schedule a campus visit, please call 978-448-1530 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our typical weekly campus visit schedule is:
Mondays: (Red Week) 9 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, (Blue Week) 8 AM, 10AM, 2PM
Tuesdays: 9 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM
Wednesdays: 10 AM, 12 PM
Thursdays: 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM
Fridays: 9 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM
Please call 978-448-1530 or email email@example.com to schedule a time that works for you and your family.
A campus visit begins with a student-led tour, followed by an interview. The interviewer will begin by meeting with the applicant and will then meet with the applicant’s parent(s), guardian(s) or consultant(s). A typical campus visit lasts around two hours.
The interview is a required component of applying to Lawrence Academy. If you are unable to visit campus for an interview due to location or time constraints, we can conduct a Skype interview during our regular office hours. However, we highly recommend visiting campus if you are able to.
Lawrence Academy students enjoy a fairly relaxed dress code, including jeans. We would recommend that you wear clothes that you are comfortable in and that best express who you are. That said, Lawrence Academy students are not allowed to wear athletic clothing during the academic day.
You do not need to formally prepare for the interview. We recommend that you are somewhat familiar with the school as well as take time to think about your passions and what it is about Lawrence Academy that makes it a strong fit for you.
If you are interested in a particular subject or co-curricular area and want to meet a teacher, coach, or faculty member, please let us know in advance of your visit. If schedules align, we will invite them to come by to chat and share information with you about their program. If for some reason you are unable to connect with a faculty member during your visit, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can easily provide the faculty member’s contact information. Additionally, the Athletic Reception on Sept. 21, 2019, and the Open House on Nov. 2, 2019, are also opportunities to meet with faculty.
We offer need-based financial aid. All families considering financial assistance are encouraged to apply. To learn more about applying for financial assistance, click here.
You will be notified via email. Accepted students will also receive a packet in the mail within a few days of their acceptance.
We absolutely encourage students to reapply! If you are reapplying, you will need to re-submit the application and supporting materials. You will also need to complete an interview. Click here for an overview of the necessary steps.
