In order to apply and be considered for financial assistance, the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) must be completed and submitted to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) by Thursday, January 31, 2019.

You will need to create a username and password for access to the SSS Family Portal.

The Financial Aid Application requires submission of the following items to SSS:
- Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS)
- Federal Tax Return with all supporting schedules – 2017 & 2018
- W2’s – 2017 & 2018
The Financial Aid Application will be complete once all documents are received.
The PFS must be completed and submitted to the School and SSS by January 31, 2019.
Financial Aid awards will be posted on the Reservation Agreement of accepted students on March 10, 2019.

Anyone may apply for financial aid. For the 2017-18 academic year, Lawrence Academy awarded $4.7 million in financial aid to 128 students.

No. We do not offer academic merit or athletic scholarships. All financial aid is awarded due to demonstrated need.
All families who need aid should apply. If you are unsure, you should apply. Admissions applications are read without regard to a family’s financial situation, and a candidate’s request for financial aid does not affect his or her chances for admission.
If you are unable to meet the January 31 deadline, please contact the Director of Financial Aid at (978) 448-1520. As the Financial Aid Committee at Lawrence Academy will be evaluating aid requests in early February, it is imperative that families submit all requested paperwork according to the deadlines.
The Financial Aid Committee utilizes the information provided by SSS as a guideline in determining financial aid awards. We receive many requests for aid and unfortunately are not able to make awards to all applicants, nor will we be able to meet each family’s demonstrated need for those we are able to support.
Lawrence Academy expects families who don’t receive financial aid upon initial enrollment to continue to pay tuition in full. There is little chance that a student enrolling without aid would be awarded aid in any subsequent year, without significant changes in that family’s financial circumstances.
Families are required to reapply for financial aid each year by submitting the PFS and current year’s tax return.
Two Payments: Due July 1 & October 1
Monthly Payment Plan: Nine monthly payments beginning May 1
We request that both natural parents complete the PFS and submit completed tax forms to SSS.
It is required that families who own farms or businesses complete the PFS and include all necessary documents in addition to the tax return.
