GROTON, Mass. — Join adult LA and Groton community members on Sunday, April 26, from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. at Lawrence Academy for the first SEED Seminar. This event explores identity topics through self-reflection activities.

Facilitated by Raquel Majeski-Roberge (LA Associate Head of School) and Karin Drowne (Acton-Boxborough High School teacher), SEED features personal reflection, testimonies, and opportunities to connect with others in Groton and beyond.

Attendees will recognize and challenge systems of oppression, acknowledge privilege, and work for change.

“We are so excited to welcome you to our upcoming SEED group,” said Majeski-Roberge. “SEED is an opportunity to connect within the community, and we are offering it here at Lawrence Academy.

“Our SEED sessions talk about all kinds of things relating to our own identity,” added Drowne. “So, in a SEED session, you would explore your own personal identity, and then we'll look at the identities of other groups.

“And we'll be examining things like identity of race, gender, sexual orientation, and class, among others.”

To sign up, please email Raquel Majeski-Roberge at rmajeski-roberge@lacademy.edu with your interest in participating.

“It's a great opportunity to reflect, and we'll do some really great activities,” said LA’s Associate Head. “We hope that you can join us.

“See you at SEED!”
