The boys, including future Marquette Golden Eagle Alex Egbuono ‘26, will face the No. 3 seed, Cheshire Academy (at Cheshire, Conn.), also on Wednesday, March 4, at 3:30 p.m.
“We're thrilled to be in the playoffs for a second straight season,” said Head Coach Mike Foustoukos of the Spartans boys. “Our captains and the entire senior class have done an outstanding job of leading and supporting their teammates to an overall record of 22-7 (14-1 in the ISL).
“If we are able to make a deep run in these playoffs, much of it will be due to their experience and leadership.”
Meanwhile, Head Coach Emily Pratt '16 is excited for the postseason and the chance for her girls’ team to show what they have learned during their competitive ISL campaign.

“Our journey to this point has been about learning how to win — and lose — together,” said the former Spartan standout. “The playoffs are a chance to show who we’ve become.
“We’re proud of the work, but we’re hungry for more."
Looking ahead to Wednesday, Athletic Director Kevin Potter was excited to see both sets of Spartans hit the court.
"As per usual, our students and coaches gave their all throughout our very tough and weather-interrupted winter season,” said Potter. “We are excited both to host playoff basketball and to see what these two talented teams can do against the mettle of New England basketball."
