Join Us for Community Conversations

Groton, Mass. — Lawrence Academy, our private boarding school in Groton, enjoys a rich history of engaging its students in diverse activities to build intellectual, social, and emotional growth.

One of the school's most notable initiatives is the Community Conversations and Discussions series.

The Community Conversations and Discussions series promotes dialogue among students, faculty, and staff on various topics. The program, open to all adult community members, provides a platform for the LA community members to engage in meaningful conversations about issues that affect them and the world around them.

As fall continues in earnest, so do the discussions...

The series covers wide-ranging topics, including social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion issues. The program also addresses mental health and wellness issues and current events that impact the community.

Our upcoming discussion, entitled Cultivating Empathy & Belonging, features Dan Scheibe, Head of School, Raquel Majeski, Associate Head of School, and Dennis Canty, Dean of Equity & Community Life, as they discuss LA's strategic diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. The evening will conclude with a moment of reflection and discussion about community norms.

Members of LA's adult community may join us here:
