100 Goals and Counting for LA’s Tyler Streeter

Spartans Boys’ Lacrosse forward hits the century mark.

GROTON - Lawrence Academy varsity boys' lacrosse Assistant Coach Andrew Healy has watched from the sidelines for years, but until recently, he had never seen a player reach 100 goals for the team in "Navy blue, red and white."

“During last Wednesday’s [April 1] game against Kimball Union Academy, Tyler Streeter '26 scored his 100th goal,” said a recent note from Mr. Healy to the Communications Office. “Conveniently, [athletic photographer] Adam Richins was there and got a picture of the celebration!"

Now, LA has been playing lacrosse for a long time, so it was amazing to hear the news, especially given the strong players who have been on the field for the Spartans over the years.

“In the shot-clock era, we have not had someone score 100 goals before,” said Healy when asked about the milestone.

“[Eventual NCAA champion] Connor Helfrich '12 would have come close, but he didn’t attend in his 9th grade year. "Jack Taylor '22 likely would have come close, but the 2020 season was canceled due to COVID," said the long-time LA Spanish Coach and administrator.

"We believe he is probably our all-time leading scorer." With these anecdotes in mind, we’ll take that ball and run with it.

Congratulations, Tyler Streeter, on your 100th goal! #GoLASpartan
