Contrary to what most would think, there’s nothing usual about a graduation ceremony for a school incorporated in 1792 and founded in 1793. In fact, despite its relatively clockwork appearance every spring, new names, new faces and new locations on campus make the annual affair unique unto itself.

While the Grant Rink usually rocks thanks to Lawrence Academy’s hockey teams, on Sunday, April 12, 2026, the concrete, iceless arena floor bopped to the sound of pump-up music fueling the 30 or so students gathered to make over 10,000 meals for distribution through Rise Against Hunger.

During the April 1 game against Kimball Union Academy, Tyler Streeter '26 scored his 100th goal. Conveniently, [athletic photographer] Adam Richins was there and got a picture of the celebration!

The most recent production of the classic story, this one by the arts programs of Groton School and Lawrence Academy, certainly hit the same marks as the original stage and film productions. However, those significant cultural and social marks were also hit during the preparation of the show by so many Zeebs and Spartans.
