Why does LA have an Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund is an annual fundraising campaign which provides important, unrestricted support of Lawrence Academy. The Annual Fund accounts for 8% of the school's operating budget and is vital to bridging the gap between tuition income and the actual cost of an LA education. Each year, gifts are received from trustees, alumni, parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, corporations and foundations and friends of the school.

What does the Annual Fund support?
The Annual Fund enables LA to: provide its outstanding faculty with the resources to utilize their talents fully; offer a dynamic, rigorous and student-centered curriculum; focus on values, leadership and character; compete successfully in athletics and offer a wide array of creative arts and programs; and attract a talented and diverse student body that enriches the entire community. It is critical to LA's day-to-day operations and financial health because it is used to support these key components of the educational experience:

What is the financial goal?
After a successful Annual Fund campaign in FY 2012, where LA's Annual Fund goal of $1,250,000 was achieved and new records were set for alumni and parent financial support, the Annual Fund goal for FY 2013 has been set at $1,400.000! With your help, we know we can reach our goal!
Leadership Giving at Lawrence Academy
While all gifts to the school are important, leadership gifts are the foundation of the Annual Fund, and are vital to its success. Every donor who contributes $1,000.00 or more a year is included in one of the Academy's giving societies.

How do I make a gift?
Click on "Make a Gift Online" at the left to make a gift online or send your gift to the Development Office at Lawrence Academy, PO Box 992, Groton, MA, 01450. Checks should be made payable to the Lawrence Academy Annual Fund. Gifts may be made by cash, check, MasterCard, VISA, American Express, or appreciated securities.
