Reunion
May 7–9, 2010
Please join us "Back on the Quad" for Reunion 2010! It is a great opportunity to see what is new on campus and what has remained the same, and also to reconnect with classmates and to share what has changed in all of your
lives. Lawrence Academy continues to be that very special place that you all remember from your days as students, and I encourage you to make every effort to get back on campus to remind yourself of your days here. Plan to reconnect, rekindle, and reminisce.
We especially look forward to celebrating with those alumni whose classes end in 5 and 0, but all alumni are welcome at this annual event. We always look for a big turnout from all Reunion classes, but especially from the classes of 2000, 1985 and 1960, who will be celebrating their 10th, 25th, and 50th reunions, respectively.
What makes a great Reunion? Having all your classmates back, of course! Please take a minute to email or call three classmates ... it really does make a difference!
What is new at LA:
* Renovated Ferguson Building, re-opened in September 2007
* Ansin Academic Building, now standing where Sheedy Hall once was. Opened in September 2004
* Head of School Scott Wiggins and his wife Susan
* Elm Tree Hall, a dormitory for 44 boys that opened in 2003
* The Alan L. Whipple Archives and Dick A. Jeffers Heritage Center
* Park House as the head of school's home
* Reengineered athletic fields.
What has remained the same:
* Dick Jeffers still greets all with his signature "Mornin'!"
* The view of Gibbet Hill from the dining room window
* The cow pond
* Cold cures at the Health Center
* Richmond Baker and Dick Gagné, retired, but part of the daily life of LA
* Waters House
We hope you will take any and all opportunities to stop by campus for a visit and tour.
