A 2001 graduate of Lawrence Academy, Matthew Greene went on to graduate from Union College in Schenectady, NY, in 2006 with a B.A. in Sociology. Having taught History at the Woodhall School in Bethlehem, CT, Mr. Greene joined the Lawrence Academy faculty in 2011, substituting for Humanities NGP teacher, Meghan Smith while Ms. Smith is on maternity leave. Receiving the Lawrence Academy Headmaster’s Award in 2001, Mr. Greene served as the Student Body President, a member of the Elm Tree Society, a Senior Peer Counselor, and Captain of the Boys Varsity Soccer team. Mr. Greene has been actively involved in the Lawrence Academy athletics department, having coached the Boys Varsity Soccer team (2008), the Boys’ IIIrds Baseball team (2009), and having worked as a soccer and basketball camp staff member over several summer sessions. Currently, Mr. Greene serves as the Head Coach of the Boys JV Soccer team, the Assistant Coach of the Boys JV Basketball team, and the Assistant Coach of the Boys JV Lacrosse team.
Assistant Coach: Khalid Bashir

Khalid Bashir joins LA as an admissions intern. Khalid graduated in 2012 from Williams College with a BA in American Studies, Concentration in Africana Studies. While at Williams, Khalid was also a broadcaster for the Williams College Sports Information program calling men and women’s basketball games and football. Here, he will assist with JV basketball.
