Assistant Coach (1st Year): Alyssa MacMeekin   Email |  profile

A graduate of Suffield Academy, Alyssa MacMeekin persued her passion by studying biology at Muhlenberg College, earning a bachelor’s degree in science. After spending two summers working at the summer academy of her alma mater, where she truly fell in love with teaching, she pursued a degree in education, earning a master's degree in teaching from The Citadel. Throughout her studies, Alyssa was also very active in athletics. In high school, she joined the rifle team and was very surprised to find that she was fairly skilled with a rifle; and, after many years of soccer and volleyball, attending college led to the discovery of rugby. Alyssa quickly became very active in the sport, playing for her entire college career and continuing as a part-time player and coach for The Citadel women’s side while in graduate school. Ms. MacMeekin’s free time is filled by a myriad activities including advocating for human rights both domestically and internationally. She also enjoys playing music, painting, and spending time with her family, particularly her niece and nephews.

Head Coach (2nd Year): Kathryn Quist   Email |  profile

Katie Quist joins the NGP faculty as one of the science teachers. A 2003 graduate of Murdock High School in Winchendon, Mass., Ms. Quist went on to graduate cum laude from Westfield State College with a bachelor's degree in movement science in 2007. This past May, Katie graduated from Marywood University in Scranton, Penn., with a master of arts in teaching. Very excited to join the Lawrence Academy community, Katie is eager to coach lacrosse after having coached college lacrosse for three years. Ms. Quist started the women’s lacrosse program at Westfield State College as a transfer student in 2004. When Katie is not teaching or coaching, she loves to spend time running, playing with her dog (Dakodah), and visiting family and friends.
